Bitcoin’s orderbook has just sent a strong buy signal. The imbalance was noted in a post by the BitcoinArchive trading account, which quickly went viral in the crypto trading community.
The chart shows bids spread between $60,500 and $63,000. The sell side, on the other hand, doesn’t appear to be as crowded in the same price range.
What The Orderbook Shows
Orderbook depth is the number of buy and sell orders that are waiting at various price levels. The more buyers are willing to step in at the lower price, the more cushion there is against further declines.
This type of configuration has been seen previously in Bitcoin’s current price range. Bitcoin has rallied to $61,000 several times in 2026, and on each occasion this year, buyers have rallied to the level.
Traders have also identified $63,500 and $67,100 as potential liquidation levels in the immediate vicinity. A large amount of long and short leverage has built up around those two prices over the past two weeks, based on liquidation-tracking data circulating among traders.
That stacked leverage is important because it can speed up moves when prices hit those levels. When shorts squeeze near $67,100, the buying can push the price even higher, and vice versa for longs near $63,500.
Timing Lines Up With The Fed
This orderbook change is not occurring in isolation. The Fed’s rate decision was Wednesday, and the Personal Consumption Expenditures inflation report is coming up next.
Both events tend to cause sudden and quick movements in Bitcoin. A more robust buy-side orderbook just ahead of key macro data indicates that traders are getting ready for a bounce, not a further decline.
That reading is part of a larger trend that has been evident in Bitcoin’s price action recently. A thick bid side is another data point that supports the theory that Bitcoin is forming a bottom, not a new downtrend, according to Fidelity’s Jurrien Timmer.
However, orderbook imbalances such as this can change rapidly. The picture BitcoinArchive captured is a snapshot, not a guarantee, as large orders are pulled or filled in minutes.
Why Traders Are Watching Closely
Bitcoin has been in a tight range for the last few weeks, failing to make any significant progress above or below resistance and support levels. A buy-heavy orderbook within that range provides bulls with a reason to believe that the floor will remain, at least for the short term.
This is also thin sell-side liquidity, which increases the chances of a quick turnaround if the buyers are successful. Thin resistance above price indicates that there is less selling pressure between Bitcoin and higher prices.
So far, the system is more about waiting than forecasting. Traders are waiting to see if the bids remain strong ahead of the Fed decision and PCE release or if the imbalance dissipates when the macro dust settles.
In either case, the next 24 to 48 hours should provide a better answer. Snapshots of the orderbook, such as this one, are most important when combined with the actual price action when the data is released.
