Donald Trump Scheduled to Speak at Bitcoin 2024 Conference

The former president of the United States, Donald Trump, is set to speak at the 2024 Bitcoin Conference in Nashville later this month. 

The Bitcoin conference is the largest event in the Bitcoin community. Trump’s appearance and address at this event are game changers and could notably impact the cryptocurrency industry. 

Trump’s appearance as a speaker at this conference adds to his recent efforts to attract crypto voters.

The highly-contested US Presidential elections have seen both Democrats and Republicans rally to woe the crypto community for votes. 

Trump To Speak At Bitcoin 2024 

Bitcoin 2024 will be the fourth Bitcoin conference. This event is set to attract other keynote speakers, including the CEO of ARK Invest, Cathie Wood, and the Executive Chairman of MicroStrategy, Michael Saylor. 

Each of the Bitcoin conferences has been marked with major announcements that have impacted the history of Bitcoin.

For instance, during the Bitcoin 2021 conference, the President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, announced that the country would adopt BTC as legal tender and support Bitcoin innovation.

Trump is one of the two US presidential contenders to speak at this event. Robert F. Kennedy Jr, also seeking to be elected US President, will appear.

Kennedy was also among the keynote speakers during the Bitcoin 2023 event, where he voiced his support for the Bitcoin industry. 

The event organizers said,

Trump announced his support for the American Bitcoin industry in May 2024, advocating for financial freedom and the growth of the US Bitcoin industry on the global stage. 

He has been labeled as the event’s highlight and will be the most prominent figurehead in US politics to appear at the Bitcoin Conference. 

Trump’s Vocal Support for Crypto 

The addition of Trump among the keynote speakers during the Bitcoin 2024 event comes as the former US President continues to be vocal about his commitment to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency investors if elected president. 

Last month, Trump announced plans to support Bitcoin mining in the US if elected US President. At the time, Trump said he wanted all the remaining Bitcoin mined in the United States, saying it would make the country “energy dominant.” 

Trump has also called himself “crypto president.” He has promised to end the anti-crypto crusade launched against the cryptocurrency industry by the Chair of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Gary Gensler, and President Joe Biden. 

Trump’s pro-crypto remarks have seen him win favor among some of the bigwigs in the industry. These include Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, the co-founders of the Gemini cryptocurrency exchange. 

The duo donated $1 million worth of Bitcoin each to the Trump Presidential campaign. They also noted that they would vote for Trump in November because of his pro-crypto remarks. 

The Republican Party is also taking a pro-crypto stance after launching a platform to support innovation around digital assets. The party also termed Biden’s crackdown on crypto as “unlawful and unAmerican.”
